2025 Austin Chapter Board Members

Austin Chapter board

President

Raul Olvera has been a member of SEAoT since 2019. He works at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc., where he works on the design, rehabilitation, and construction of new and existing structures. Raul enjoys running around Austin and going out salsa dancing, and is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin.

Treasurer

Jaine Estrella has been a member of SEAoT since 2017. She is a structural engineer at Aguirre & Fields where she designs bridges and retaining walls. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends, hiking with her dog, and is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin.


Vice-President 

Vincent Costello has been a member of SEAoT since 2020. He is an Engineer at Walter P Moore where he specializes in failure investigation and repair design of existing structures. He obtained bachelors and masters degrees in Civil Engineering from UT Austin. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking and traveling to National Parks across the country.

Secretary

Corinna Slater Olvera has been a member of SEAoT since 2024. She received her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and her master’s from Stanford. She works at Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, specializing in the fields of nondestructive testing, concrete repair, and historic building repair. In her free time, Corinna enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.

Swetha Prabhakar has been a member of SEAoT since 2024. She is a forensic engineer at Pivot Engineers, where she works on the repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from BITS Pilani, India and her masters degree in Structural Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. In her free time, Swetha enjoys going to museums, traveling and enjoying the outdoors. 

Student Chapter and Scholarship Director

Madeline has been a member of SEAoT since 2018.  She works with the Development Services Department for the City of Austin where she reviews permit applications for new structures citywide. Madeline hails from the Midwest, earning degrees from Purdue University and UC Berkeley, and enjoys crossfit, linguistics and travel.

Membership/Website

John Thorne-Thomsen has been a member of SEAoT since 2017.  He currently works as a transmission line engineer for the Lower Colorado River Authority.  John moved to Austin after earning a bachelor's degree in mathematics from St Lawrence University in Canton, NY and followed that up with his master's degree in civil engineering from UTSA.  Outside the office, he enjoys exploring Austin's parks and trails on foot and bicycle and traveling whenever he gets the chance.

State Board Director & Past President (2024)

Lizeth Gonzales has been a SEAoT member since 2010. She is an Engineering Manager at LCRA in the Substation Engineering Department. Lizeth obtained a bachelor's and master's degree from UT Austin. She enjoys traveling, volunteering in the community, and tutoring Math and languages. Lizeth is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin. Hook'em!

State Board Director & Past President (2023)

Alex Meucci has been a SEAoT member since 2019. He works for Pivot Engineers providing forensic consulting services. He is a double gator, having received a bachelors in Civil Engineering and masters in Structural Engineering from the University of Florida. He spends his free time enjoying the outdoors and playing sports.
